Keith grew up on Long Island in the 1960s and 70s and fell in love with basketball early, becoming a standout player — before a hard stretch pulled him away from the game for years. Faith and family brought him back, this time as a coach. That comeback set the course for everything he's built since.
As a high school athletic director, his programs won multiple state championships, and he coached a boys basketball team to a state runner-up finish. He then became the founding athletic director at Providence School in Santa Barbara, building an athletics program from scratch — and leading the girls basketball team to a CIF championship within a few years of the school's first season.
